The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries (DGIF) is seeking comments on the state's wildlife action plan. Comments are due by June 5 at 5 p.m.
This is from DGIF's notice:
"Updating the Action Plan provides an important opportunity for the conservation community to reevaluate the status of species of greatest conservation need (SGCN) and their habitats, review conservation priorities, and reprioritize conservation actions. Furthermore, this update provides a process to review the conservation efforts, research, and projects implemented during the past decade.
"The 2015 Draft Wildlife Action Plan adopts a greater emphasis on habitat conservation, communicates priority actions and needs at the local level (multi-county jurisdictions), and focuses on enhancing species prioritizations.

Please feel free to review the entire document or only those sections that relate to your area of work or focus. Also, please feel free to forward this message to anyone else you feel may be interested in reviewing the document.
