Weigh In on Parks

Park planning processes offer Auduboners and others to shape the future of parks.  The Fairfax County Park Authority seeks input on the master plan for the Ellanor C. Lawrence Park.  Here is the county's press release seeking input on this park. Note the info on how to get involved in more master planning for parks.

The Fairfax County Park Authority (FCPA) is seeking your input. As the Park Authority continues the process of revising the Ellanor C. Lawrence Park Master Plan, it is important to learn what matters most to residents of Fairfax County. Your opinions matter to us!

We realize that spare time is always at a premium, so with that in mind we have added an online survey to our input options for this planning process. The initial response has been positive, and we want to hear from as many people as possible. If you haven't already done so, we invite you to participate in our online questionnaire. Help us understand how you use the park today and how you want the park to be in the future.

The new survey and information about this plan update can be found on the Ellanor C. Lawrence Park Master Plan project website. Already, park planning staff has gained a great deal of insight from attendees at our June open house, comments received via email and conversations with residents. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. If you haven't shared your thoughts, there is still time! The survey will remain open through the winter to inform the development of the draft master plan revision.

Stay informed about the master plan process. A visit to the website will allow you to:

Read the latest project updates, documents an d meeting announcements.
Learn about the rich natural, historic and recreational features of the park.
Learn about the park master planning process.
Provide your thoughts and suggestions through the online survey.
