The Virginia General Assembly is expected to complete the current session on March 12. Almost 3,000 bills were introduced. Many bills will be considered before they finish and sent to Governor McAuliffe for his signature or veto. The legislature will have a veto session in April, usually only one day.
ASNV expressed views on several bills, generally, bills addressing climate change, “unowned” or “community cats” and vultures. To learn the status of bills and read them, visit the Virginia Legislative Information System and Richmond Sunlight.
Thank you to all the ASNVers who spoke up at town hall meetings these past few months.
