Virginia General Assembly Meets

On April 5, the Virginia General Assembly will reconvene to consider Governor Terry McAuliffe’s vetoes and amendments to bills that the legislature passed.  Auduboners can weigh in to the Governor now and with state legislators before April 5.  To find your state legislators, click on “Who’s my legislator?”at  http://virginiageneralassembly.gov/.  To learn more, contact the Virginia League of Conservation Voters, www.valcv.org.  One bill the governor is considering addresses coal ash storage and disposal; another gives the city of Alexandria a deadline to stop sending raw sewage into the Potomac River.
