Climate Change Is Harming Virginia

Climate change is affecting seasonal patterns, making Virginia summers hotter, extending allergy seasons, increasing mosquito and tick-borne diseases and leading to more coastal flooding, among other problems, concludes a new report by the Natural Resources Defense Council here.  One figure in the report shows that Northern Virginia had from six to 15 ozone exceedances days from 2011 to 2015, the highest in the state.  The report describes several steps Virginia has taken and recommends more.
