Annual Meeting Featuring Fred Atwood’s Polar Photography

ASNV’s annual membership meeting was held on June 9. The featured speaker, Fred Atwood, gave a fascinating presentation entitled "The Ends of the Earth: Hudson Bay, Svalbard, Antarctica" about polar wildlife and the spectacular scenery of the polar regions. This slides showed awe-inspiring, tear-jerking scenery of the vast polar wilderness, its beautiful art forms in the ice, and the rugged wildlife that lives in these extreme places. Polar bears, penguins, leopard seals, whales, alcids, and jaegers.
