On this spring trip to southern Virginia, we will bird at Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge, a spring warbler destination and one of the few Virginia locations for Swainson’s Warbler.
Meet at Lake Newport and carpool or caravan to the other Reston lakes, looking for winter waterfowl. Waterfowl are often the highlight of winter birding, when their variety is far greater than for our summer residents. Sponsored by the Reston Association and The Bird Feeder of Reston.
