John Audubon Film and Discussion

Foxcroft School is hosting a free screening for an important and compelling documentary about the life of naturalist and explorer John James Audubon on Monday, April 11 at 7 p.m.
The film, Rara Avis: John James Audubon and the Birds of America, is an intimate look at the Frenchman who made it his life’s work to catalog the birds of North America. 


Noted conservationist and Foxcroft alumna Cina Alexander has teamed up with two-time Academy Award nominee Al Reinert, who earned Oscar nominations for Apollo 13 (screenplay), and  For All Mankind (producer/director) in making this film, which has been named Best Film – Storyline and Production at the 2016 Waimea Both he and Alexander will participate in a post-screening discussion.


It is free and open to the community.
